The jar is signed on the bottom “Rainy” with a beautiful feather next to it. This is the same feather hallmark used by her mother, Helen.

Made in a quintessential style for modern Hopi potter Rainy Naha, this polychrome jar contains a white-tan slip surrounded with birds and various geometric patterns within the birds. The birds are in a whirling shape around the body of the jar, and each faces another so that one looks up and one looks down. The patterns include diagonal lines, swirls, checkerboards, cones, zigzag steps, and many more.

Around the bird patterns is a brownish speckled background, which is even included on small parts of the birds themselves. The colors of the jar include dark brown, light brown, red, orange, yellow, and white. The body is especially appealing as it juts out in a dramatic style.

The jar is signed on the bottom Rainy with a beautiful feather next to it. This is the same feather hallmark used by her mother, Helen.

Rainell Naha (1949- ) Feather Woman is a daughter of Helen Naha (the first Feather Woman) and the granddaughter of Paqua Naha (the first Frog Woman). Her siblings are Burel, Sylvia, and Rechenda.
