This Fred Harvey Style Navajo Bracelet with One Stone features diamonds, arrows, Zia Sun and crescent shaped stamps which are so characteristic to the Fred Harvey style. The stamps symmetrically surround a beautiful deep green turquoise stone, which is surrounded by silver dots.
Fred Harvey opened his first restaurant along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad (AT&SF) in Florence, Kansas in 1878. The story goes that he believed there was a need for rail travelers to have access to better food while traveling and he was going to provide it. The business boomed rapidly after that, growing to include more than 80 facilities in the Southwest from Chicago to Los Angeles. The company employed pretty, young women to serve customers and collaborated with architect Mary Colter to create buildings that reflected the culture of the Southwest.
