This storyteller is signed on the bottom Cochet Pueblo N.M. in what appears to be paint before firing. This storyteller figurine is signed on the bottom Cochet[i] Pueblo N.M. in what appears to be paint before firing.  There is no artist name.  I do not recognize the facial feature extensively enough to hazard a guess as to who the artist might have been so we will accept it on its own merits without the benefit of knowing the name of the potter.

I believe this to be a female Cochiti Pueblo Unsigned Storyteller with Two Kids based on the shawl hanging on the back in the typical manner in which women of the pueblo wear them.  She wears a squash blossom necklace and has critters painted on her arms.  In her left hand she holds a child that appears to be male and the one in the right hand, also a male, is separate and removable.

Condition: very good condition
