Martha Arquero Southwest Indian Pottery Figurines Cochiti Pueblo signature

Martha has followed in the footsteps of her famous mother, Damacia Cordero, in crafting wonderful animal figurines. She is best known for her frog storytellers, but she makes many other figures. We had a collection of animals by Martha at our first Storyteller exhibit at the Albuquerque gallery in 1982.  Her sisters, Josephine Arquero and Maria Laweka, are also figurine potters.
