This male storyteller figurine by Cochiti Pueblo artist Catherine Trujillo is seated with his legs crossed. His long hair is tied in braids that hang down in front. In his lap is a single little boy. The shirt of the adult has ribbons hanging down on the back and buttons at the front.
Adobe Gallery purchased this from the artist in June 1980 and provided a photograph to Barbara Babcock for inclusion in her book The Pueblo Storyteller (see link below). It appears on page 32 of the book. We sold it to the client from whom we now have it back.
