I have not located biographical information of Tina Kie but searching the internet, I found several small bowls about the size and shape of this one, but not with a handle and face.
This pottery cup is beautifully thin-walled and painted with precision. The human face seems a little sad but that is part of the charm of the cup!
Condition: there is one rim chip and a few spall marks in the black paint but the cup is structurally in excellent condition.
Provenance: from the collection of Katherine H. Rust
