Acoma Pueblo Tall Black-on-white Wedding Vessel [SOLD]

Juana Leno has always been my favorite potter from Acoma Pueblo.  I met her around 1975 and purchased pottery from her until she no longer was making it.  We had a long and friendly relationship.  She was an excellent potter and her painting skills were unequaled.  If one looks at the intricate layout of the design on this wedding vessel, it confounds logic that a potter would even attempt such a complicated design when something simpler would suffice.  That was the way she treated each of the items she made.  Speed was not paramount but quality was.

Condition:  The vessel is in excellent condition.
