This is such a beautiful large Hopi bowl and it features a magnificent rendition of a Sikyatki stylistic bird as the sole item of decoration. It’s too bad the potter failed to sign her name as she should certainly be given due credit for such a fine job.

There is a very slim rim crack that is of minor significance, otherwise, the bowl is in marvelous condition. Of course, some abrasion of the painted design has occurred but that is to be expected particularly in an older open bowl.
