Three-chamber pottery vessels such as this are frequently used as paint pots. Paint is mixed in them for use in body painting before ceremonies. This one was most probably discarded after it was broken, rendering it unusable.
Two of the chambers are intact, but the third one is about 50% missing. The exterior of each chamber is decorated with tadpoles. The interior and exterior of the rims are brown.
