The stamped triangle wire shank bracelet is one of the most attractive and graceful bracelets made by the Southwest Indians. The process for making one is to select the correct length of wire-in this case three wires-and lay them out flat. The desired stamping is then applied to the flattened wire shank.

The stone is chosen, because the width that the outer two wires must be separated must be determined. The bezel that will surround the stone is made and soldered to a flat piece of silver that will serve as its base. Two pieces of silver are cut and will eventually be soldered onto the ends.

After the tips are soldered onto the ends of the wires, the bracelet is then formed over a mandrel to its correct shape. The bezel is soldered onto the shank and the stone set into the bezel. The bracelet is buffed and ready for sale.

This artisan chose a beautiful #8 turquoise round and slightly domed stone to adorn the central focal point of the bracelet. It is in excellent condition.
