A rare treasure - a Santo Domingo Pueblo olla of the Aguilar style, probably made around 1910. Three decorative panels prominently feature bird designs and two panels feature hatchured diamonds. Double framing lines, with ceremonial breaks, enclose the mid-body designs. Double framing lines also enclose the neck design which incorporates black cloud elements over red sun-drenched earth. There has been some minor professional restoration. Today, the Aguilar pieces are much sought by collectors. This is an excellent example.
