The paired female and male talking prayer sticks are made to be deposited with the baby figurine during the ’awééhchíín ’análnééh ceremony, the purpose of which is to correct and nullify human error in behavior prohibited by supernaturalism which has caused a living person to become ill. They are particularly used in a curing ritual for children.
A metal stand has been made for this item to permit displaying it in an upright position. The stand is included at no additional cost.
