Original Miniature Painting “Isleta Boy and Pet” [R]

Isleta Pueblo artist Ed Jojola has the magical ability to incorporate an entire slice of pueblo life into less than ten square inches. This window into life at Isleta shows a native of the village, wrapped in a colorful blanket, heading to his fields with his horse and dog companions.

In the background, there are adobe houses, the pueblo step ladder, and even a horno, all the items one would expect to see at the pueblo. Jojola is a master at presenting his village for others to enjoy.

The painting is framed and is signed Jojola and dated 07 in lower left.
