Jet, Turquoise, Coral Sun Face Bola Tie [R]

Benjamin Tzuni, Jr. and his wife, Shirley Tzuni collaborate on beautiful Zuni channel inlay, mosaic inlay and petit point jewelry. In this instance, they combined the three techniques to form a beautiful bola tie. The Sun face in the center is comprised of stone-to-stone mosaic inlay, which is surrounded by sunrays comprised of petit point turquoise. The outer ring of rays were set with turquoise triangles into jet by a stone-to-stone technique and each of these is set in silver channels. The combination of black and turquoise with only a slight touch of coral provides a striking palette. The bola is signed Benjr-Shirley Tzuni-Zuni- and stamped Sterling on the back.
