It is totally bewildering to accept that a potter could paint a design so intricate and precise without making a mistake during the process. This jar features row after row of small squares, each divided into two triangles, the lower half of which presents the viewer with needle-tip size white dots. It is almost unfathomable but here is the proof. This seed jar is covered from head to toe in that fashion. The apparent white dots were achieved by painting crisscross black lines.
The seed jar is in original excellent condition. It is signed P. Estevan Acoma, NM.
