Hopi Owl Katsina Doll by Geri Navasie [NOT AVAILABLE]

This Great Horned Owl or Mongwa Katsina doll is mostly carved out of one piece of cottonwood root. The feathers and reeds, though also carved, are glued into position. You can see the Owl, who is joined with other warrior Katsinas, on Third Mesa. This doll is a popular choice among collectors.

The workmanship on this carving is outstanding. It was purchased directly from the carver in1986.

Condition: The doll was slightly damaged in shipment to a previous purchaser but has now been professionally restored and is available for purchase again.
