Zuni Pueblo Sterling Silver and Coral Pendant [SOLD]

Zuni silversmiths are best known for their lapidary ability to set small pieces of stone within channels of silver. This pendant uses coral set in a modern array of silver strips to create the focus of the pendant. The exquisite stamped and cut-out silver backing for the coral inlay provides the perfect platform for maximum beauty. This very small channel inlay pendant was expertly made. The stones were precisely cut and inset within silver framework. A wide stamped silver hook is sufficient for a silver chain or a more substantial silver necklace from which the pendant could hang.

It is quite possible that both pendant and bracelet are by the same artisan,
but the pendant is not signed. The bracelet is
stamped with the initials ELY.
