This small pottery dish was probably made as a candy dish to be sold to a visitor to the Hopi villages back around 1950s or so. It is typical of pottery items made solely for sale. The head of the Koshari was a sure winner with tourists and the (unknown) potter was clever in adding it to the bowl.
Condition: excellent condition
Provenance: from a former Arizona collector of Hopi pottery
