Jojola painted this image in 1998 and presented it to a friend the next year as a gift. His friend has now passed away and the son has asked us to sell the painting that was his dads and send the money to Mr. Jojola as a gift from his father’s estate.

As are all of Jojola’s paintings, this one is a village scene at Isleta Pueblo—particularly a single home of traditional style. The adobe home has a ladder leaning against it and a horno in the yard, both very traditional features of pueblo homes. A female and small child are in the yard heading toward the door of the home.

The painting is in original excellent condition and is signed and dated in lower right. It is still in the original wood frame.
