Original Etching “Old Man and Eagle” by R. J. Ward [SOLD]

The imagery depicts an old man sitting in a rocking chair with his legs crossed. He’s wearing a hat and cowboy boots. On his right shoulder sits a beautiful adult eagle. Together, they are looking at two eagles silhouetted by a large full moon. On the floor by the rocking chair is a world globe.

R. J. Ward was from Sandia Park, New Mexico, which is in the mountains east of Albuquerque. The etching is signed with the artist’s name, but not dated. It is circa 1965.
